FYE GIS Development
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is an exciting tool for mapping locations of animals. It lets you look at many different sets of data in a way that provides a clearer picture of your community’s animals and their needs—and that helps you use resources more efficiently.
The dedicated team at GIS Dog Rescue understood that each dog had a unique story and individual needs. They provided medical attention, nourishing meals, and plenty of exercise to help them regain their strength. But it wasn’t just about physical care—the volunteers showered the dogs with love, kindness, and affection, helping them rebuild their trust in humanity.
To ensure that every dog found the perfect match, GIS Dog Rescue implemented a comprehensive adoption process. Potential adopters were carefully screened to ensure they possessed the ability, commitment, and love required to provide a forever home. Education and counseling were also provided to help new pet parents understand the responsibilities that came with owning a dog.
As the word spread about GIS Dog Rescue’s compassionate work, the community rallied around them. Local businesses, schools, and volunteers from all walks of life joined forces to support the organization’s endeavors. Fundraising events, adoption drives, and awareness campaigns became regular occurrences, enabling GIS Dog Rescue to expand its reach and save even more lives.
Over time, GIS Dog Rescue became a beacon of hope for both dogs in need and those seeking a loyal companion. Their efforts extended beyond rescuing and rehoming; they also advocated for responsible pet ownership, promoted spaying and neutering, and offered resources for dog training and behavior.
FME Rescue Placement Program

Animals in movies have been a popular presence since the invention of the cinematograph. They haven been drawn, animated and humanised in films such as Disney’s Mickey Mouse or Bambi (1942). They have been computer-generated like in Life of Pi or Junglebook. Or they have been real animals such as in Doctor Dolittle (1967), Hachi: A Dog’s Tale (2009), Free Willy (1993) The Horse Whisperer (1998) and most recently Wiener-Dog (2016). Some animals have been portrayed as a man’s worst enemy such as in Spielberg’s Jaws (1975), or they have become a symbolic element of a genre like horses in Western films. Most frequently, animals have been portrayed as a man’s best friend and loyal companion such as in Umberto D. (1952), in Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961) and Turner and Hooch (1989).
